The first day of 2012 is almost over for me here in Australia and it marks the first day of this blog, the 366 Project. Over the next year, 4 friends/strangers will be posting daily photos of their lives from different parts of the world. 

For starters, I will introduce myself. Hi, my name is Katie. I am 22 years old and in 2011 I moved across the world from Denver, CO, USA to Melbourne, Australia with very little planning and a strong sense of adventure. Things have settled down now in my 8th month down under but I am sure 2012 holds many surprises that I can’t wait to experience and share with the world via this blog. 

I think that’s all you need to know for now. We have the whole next year to get to know each other. 

I was supposed to post a self portrait today but in what hopefully won’t become a pattern, I didn’t get around to it. You’ll see me later this week but for now you can see what I left behind after the clock struck 12.

Hey you guys, I haven’t posted about this until now but I am a part of a photo a day blog for 2012 and would love if you followed. Here is my first post. I will try not to reblog myself too often. Promise. I am really excited to participate in this. I don’t know how many of you know this but photography has been a huge part of my life since I was young and was actually my major in college before I dropped out. I have really missed taking photos on a regular basis and I am hoping that this blog will rekindle my love for it and give me the creative outlet I so desperately need.
